North Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility is a state-run WVDCR facility in Greenwood, Doddridge County. WVDCR publishes an Offender Search for regional jails and Daily Incarcerations. Both tools focus on people in custody. Neither is an archive of people released today, and neither should be renamed or treated as one.
A same-day inquiry can still be answered. It requires matching the current custody view with the court event, a VINE status change, or the WVDCR release entry. A person who no longer appears may have been released, transferred, moved under another authority, entered a different part of WVDCR, or been missed because of spelling or data delay. Agency roles also narrow the search. WVDCR is the likely custodian of North Central booking, movement, and release data. The committing Monongalia court holds the order or disposition. Leaving secure custody does not always end court control.
